In close cooperation with DST, we developed the HA-DU Hightech Rudder. It ensures optimum water flow and therefore maximum manoeuvrability. Each rudder is individually adapted to the vessel's hull and dimensions. It is no coincidence that an SUT article about our rudder system was entitled "Turning on the spot without a bow thruster" – see for yourself!

The hydraulics can be supplied by our neighbour FS Schiffstechnik. Many years of cooperation have created an excellent team that works hand in hand.

Does your shaft need to be reconditioned or newly manufactured? Whether to a drawing or an existing sample, shafts up to 10 m in length are no problem in our own machine shop. In 2009, we commissioned a suitable lathe to meet the growing demands of the market. We were pleased to see within a short time that the investment had paid off – and it continues to do so today.

Once again, we responded directly to market requirements. Long delivery times and high maintenance costs from some seal suppliers prompted us to develop our own solution: manufacturing and delivery can be completed at short notice, while replacing the installed sealing rings is straightforward, fast and cost-effective.

HA-DU Power Anchor

The HA-DU Special Anchor, established since the 1970s, has since been joined by the HA-DU Power Anchor. Available since 2011, it weighs 50% less than a conventional anchor and, like its older brother, was originally approved by Germanischer Lloyd and is now approved by DNV and ZSUK in Mainz. Its key advantage is its functionality: it rises straight and, thanks to its base plate, sits flush with the anchor pocket where one is fitted. Here too, we responded to market requirements and demonstrated that we do not simply work for the shipping industry – we are part of it.

HA-DU Special Anchor

For more than sixty years, the HA-DU high holding power anchor has proven itself on the market. Despite being 30% lighter, it is one of the safest anchors on the market and has earned an excellent reputation.

Breaking wires, rigid connections, straightening natural waterways? Surely there had to be another, more environmentally friendly solution. These were the questions that occupied Heinrich Harbisch, son of the shipyard's founder and the man after whom the company is named.

He therefore designed the passive and active HA-DU Ship Coupling. The passive version focuses on easy handling and occupational safety, while the active version uses hydraulic mechanisms that make straightening waterways virtually unnecessary. Coupled formations can articulate to follow bends in the waterway or adapt to the traffic situation, allowing them to negotiate curves safely and naturally.
