We have developed the HA-DU HightechRuder in close collaboration with the DST (Development Centre for Ship Technology and Transport Systems). This results in optimal incoming water-flow and therefore the highest manoeuvrability. Every rudder is individually adapted to the different ship shapes and sizes. There are certainly good reasons for the SUT writing about our rudder system in their article “Turning on the spot without bowthruster” – convince yourself!
The necessary hydraulics for it are supplied by our neighbour FS Schiffstechnik. Over the years, the collaboration has formed a wonderful team, that works hand-in-hand together.

Your shaft requires reconditioning or requires replacement? In our own turning shop, we can do this without any problems from a drawing or a pattern up to a shaft length of 10 m! In 2009 we also put our new lathe into service to be able to meet increasing requirements of the market. And we are happy to say that this investment paid off after only a short time – even today!
shaft sleeves
Our shaft sleeves have been on the market from the start of 2013 and are fitted to several new builds but also in several “older steamers”. The type approval, which is only possible after 2-3 years of fitting and testing, is still outstanding, but we can already say today that our seal lasts! Decades of experience in river shipping convinces us and makes us confident that we have brought yet another good product onto the market.

HA-DU PowerAnker
There is a new addition to the meanwhile established HA-DU SpezialAnker: since 2011 there is the HA-DU PowerAnker with a weight reduction of 50 % – and of course approved by the Germanische Lloyd and the ZSUK in Mainz just like its “older brother”! Its advantage is clearly in its functionality. It comes up straight and thanks to its fluke closes off cleanly with the anchor pocket. Here as well we reacted to the requirements of the market and once again proved that we not only work for the shipping industry but are part of the shipping industry.

For over sixty years, the HA-DA anchor with high retaining force has proven itself on the market: despite of its 30 % weight reduction it is one of the safest anchors and has “worked up” a correspondingly good reputation.

Since 2012 in our product portfolio: our HA-DU PufferGummis “Made in Germany”. Delivery times of foreign suppliers or producers, which were far too long have made a virtue out of a necessity, and that has made us very happy. Because our offer exceeds the normal range: of course they have excellent buffering capabilities, but in addition to the usual black they are available in nearly every other colour – be it the company colours or signal red, there are many opportunities to also stand out from the competition.

Tearing cables, rigid couplings, straightening of natural waterways? There must be something different, more environmentally friendly! These thoughts also wandered through the head of the name patron and son of the wharf founder: Heinrich Harbisch.
And thus he constructed the active and passive HA-DU ships coupling, whereby the latter in particular meets all the above demands: hydraulic measures allow articulated barge combinations to “bend” according to the requirements of the approaching curve in the waterway or the present traffic situation and thus allow carefree “cornering”.
The latest addition to the range is the version of the HA-DU ships coupling as “HA-DU ships coupling sea” specifically for coastal applications: here, other forces act which need more buffering than in rivers and canals. Furthermore, the technology also ought to be protected against seawater. Here, we again managed to further develop an existing proven product and adapt to the in this case stricter operating conditions.
